How to play
- Goal: fill the four boxes at the top right, each with one suit in order — Ace, 2, 3 … up to King.
- In the columns below, put cards in falling order and swap colours each time — a red 7 goes on a black 8.
- Click a card, then click where it should go. Double-click sends it straight to the top. Out of moves? Click the face-down pile for new cards.
🃏 How to Play Klondike Solitaire
Your job is to fill the four boxes at the top right — one for each suit, in order from Ace up to King. Get all four done and you’ve won.
- Move a card by clicking it, then clicking where it should go. Or double-click it and the game sends it to the top boxes for you.
- In the seven columns, count downwards and swap colours. A red 7 goes on a black 8, a black 6 on a red 7, and so on. Moving a card this way uncovers the face-down card beneath it.
- Run out of moves? Click the face-down pile at the top left to turn up new cards. You can go through it as often as you like.
- Empty a column and only a King can move in. That’s the one rule people forget.
New to solitaire? Choose Draw 1 — you’ll see one card at a time instead of three, which makes the game much easier to learn.

Solitaire Strategy Tips
- Flip face-down cards first. Every move that turns over a hidden card beats a move that doesn’t — hidden cards are where games are lost.
- Don’t rush cards to the foundations. A 2 or 3 you send up early may be needed to hold a run in the tableau. Aces and 2s can go up; think twice above that.
- Empty columns are for Kings — but pick the right King. Prefer the color that unblocks the queens and jacks you actually have.
- In Draw 3, count the stock. The order of the waste repeats — plan which third card you want to surface before you burn a redeal.

What’s the difference between Draw 1 and Draw 3?
Draw 1 deals one card at a time from the stock and is considerably easier. Draw 3 deals three at once but only the top card is playable — the classic, harder rule set most players grew up with.
Is every solitaire deal winnable?
No — Klondike deals are random, and roughly one in five Draw 1 deals is unwinnable even with perfect play. Undo helps you explore different lines before giving up on a deal.
Can I move a group of cards together?
Yes — click the deepest face-up card of an ordered run and the whole run moves with it, as long as the destination card is one rank higher and the opposite color.
Does it work on mobile?
