- Move a card by clicking it, then clicking the column you want it in.
- Cards stack downwards by number — a 9 goes on a 10, an 8 on a 9. For simply parking a card, the suit doesn’t matter.
- But several cards only move together if they’re the same suit. That’s the heart of the game: tidy your columns into matching-suit runs so you can shift them in one go.
- No moves left? Press Deal for a new row of ten cards — every column needs at least one card before it will let you.

Spider Solitaire Strategy Tips
- Build same-suit runs whenever possible. Mixed-suit stacks are parking, not progress — only same-suit runs can move and clear.
- Empty a column early and keep it working. A free column is your workbench for rearranging buried cards.
- Delay the Deal. Each deal buries every column under a new card — squeeze out every safe move first.
- Turn over the tall columns. The four 6-card columns hide the most cards; prioritise digging there.
